AEK BC is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Chris Silva (28 y.o., 2.03 m).

The international African power forward (from Gabon) signed a contract through the end of the 2025-2026 season.

BIOGRAPHY

Chris Silva was born on September 19, 1996, in Gabon.

He attended the University of South Carolina, averaging 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game, and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.

In his professional career, he played in the NBA (Miami Heat, Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks), appearing in a total of 70 games with averages of 2.8 points and 2.7 rebounds.

In the G-League, he played for the College Park Skyhawks, Iowa Wolves, Sioux Falls Skyforce, and South Bay Lakers, averaging 16.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. In April 2024, he moved to Puerto Rico to play for Piratas de Quebradillas but left after four games (12.8 p., 7.8 r.) due to injury. He then signed with Mets de Guaynabo for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season, averaging 9.1 points and 5.4 rebounds. Last season, he played in Israel with Bnei Herzliya, recording 15.1 points, 8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 blocks in 27.5 minutes per game over 19 league matches.
