Coach Dragan Šakota spoke ahead of tomorrow’s BCL clash against Szolnoki at the SUNEL Arena:
“After the first game and judging by the way Szolnoki played – especially their 30-point win (84–54) over Levice – it seems that they’ll be our main rival for the top spot in the group. They were impressive, moved the ball extremely well, and they shoot with great accuracy.
We have to be very careful. We’ve prepared properly for this game, and I hope the players understand that this is not a game to relax. The game is very important for us if we want to stay on top of the group.
Of course, we can’t wait to finally play in front of our fans. It’s already mid-October, and we haven’t played a single game together yet. For us, the game doesn’t mean much without our supporters – they’re the reason we play, and we’ll do our best to make them proud tomorrow.”
