AEK Betsson BC’s new Assistant Team Manager, Akis Kallinikidis, shared his thoughts on his return to the team:

“Fourteen years later… I’m back at AEK. A lot has changed since then. My hair changed – it turned white. My role changed – from player to a different position.

What hasn’t changed is the excitement and emotion I feel, just like the first time I wore the team’s jersey.

Now, once again, I will give everything I have to serve AEK.

The conditions at AEK today are far better than when I was playing here. The organization is walking a very different path now – trophies are back, there are new distinctions, new joys.

I’m joining this effort with the goal of giving my very best, so we can have a successful season.”
