AEK BC head coach Dragan Šakota spoke ahead of tomorrow’s game against Karditsa Iaponiki at SUNEL Arena, for Round of 16 Group J game of the BCL:

“We are facing the same team as last Saturday, but in a different competition and with different motivations. I believe we played a good game against Karditsa in the League. However, we know that the quality of our opponent can cause many problems. Especially in games where Karditsa play without a lot of pressure, they become more dangerous. I hope we remain focused and react to any possible surprise that may come our way.

Qualifying directly for the BCL Round of 16 was an achievement, but we want to keep moving forward. It is an additional motivation for the foreign players, as well as for everyone, to compete in games like these. We must not relax… We have to show seriousness throughout the entire game.”
