The newly-signed power forward of the “Queen”, Marko Pecarski, gave his first interview following his transfer to AEK.
On his father, Miroslav:
“As a kid, I used to spend my summers in Greece. I started out in Belgrade and Serbia, but I’ve always considered Greece as my second home. My father often told me how wonderful his time here was and how much he loves everything about this country, and I’m sure I’ll feel the same.”
On Coach Dragan Sakota:
“Coach Sakota is one of the best and most experienced Serbian coaches. He played a big role in my decision. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work with him and learn from him, and I’ll make the most of it.”
On AEK:
“I’ve been following AEK and Greek basketball for years, so I’m very happy and excited to come and play here. I know AEK is a club with great history, strong tradition, and amazing fans, and I can’t wait to play for them and achieve success together. Last season was a very positive one for my new team, with strong performances in the Greek League, and especially with the qualification to the Basketball Champions League Final Four.”
On his goal:
“Coach Sakota knows the way to success. So I believe that, with hard work and a bit of luck, this season can be a really good one for us. The team always comes first. As for me personally, I want to keep improving game by game, show everyone what I can do, and grow along with the team.”
