AEK – PAOK 76-78

The “Queen” suffered its second defeat (76-78) in this season’s Stoiximan GBL, falling at home to PAOK at SUNEL Arena in Round 6.

Despite holding a 40-31 lead at the end of the first half, AEK found themselves trailing in the 26th minute (50-52). With Silva sidelined by a fourth foul from that point on, PAOK stretched the margin to +12 (60-72 in the 34th minute), but Dragan Šakota’s players fought back to level the score (76-76) with 46 seconds left on the clock.

In the decisive possession, Brown converted a layup to make it 78–76, sealing the win for the visitors.

The injuries to Silva and Flionis, who both continued playing despite being hampered, proved pivotal in a game ultimately decided by a single shot.

AEK’s next challenge comes on Wednesday (12/11, 19:30) against Riga, for Round 4 of Group F in the BCL.
