Coach Dragan Šakota spoke ahead of tomorrow’s game against PAOK at SUNEL Arena for Stoiximan GBL:

“Games against PAOK always have that extra edge, and it was the same last season. I expect it to be just as competitive this year. PAOK have put together a very strong team and they’re performing well both in Europe and in the league. We know we’re in for a tough challenge. They are a very well-balanced team from the 1 to the 5, and I hope we deliver an exciting game for the fans.

We’re counting on our supporters. Especially during tough moments, they lift us up in a huge way. And we did face some difficulties this week, as everyone knows. I’ll never forget last season’s game against Würzburg at SUNEL Arena. We had ten players out there playing on… IV drips and AEK fans were right there with us, louder than ever. It was an unbelievable moment. Their energy made all the difference and played a massive role in us winning that game.”
