AEK Betsson BC Supports Academic Education and Builds Strong Ties with Educational Institutions in Greece and Abroad

AEK Betsson BC actively supports academic education and is committed to strengthening its relationships with both domestic and international educational institutions.

Last season, we welcomed a collaboration request from ROC Davinci University in Dordrecht, hosting Jeremiah Kuwas, who completed his internship with our Team. Jeremiah is graduating as a Videographer & Photographer.

“I had the opportunity to complete my studies with an internship abroad. So I started looking around and stumbled upon AEK’s Instagram page… and I really liked what I saw! So… I decided to take a shot!

There’s a great balance here between working hard and having fun together. I truly felt like a member of a big family.

I learned a lot of technical skills around the camera, but also how to work together as a team.

If you ever have the chance to study abroad… do it! And if you like sports, AEK has many different teams and sports sections.

But in general… if you get the chance to live something like this… don’t miss it!

I’m truly grateful that I was able to do my internship here and that everyone welcomed me with open arms!” – Jeremiah Kuwas

During the Basketball Champions League Final Four, which was hosted at our home court, Sunel Arena (May 9–11, 2025), AEK Betsson BC formed the event’s Volunteer Team by prioritizing students from Greek universities, specifically from the University of the Peloponnese (Department of Sports Organization and Management) and Democritus University of Thrace (Department of Physical Education and Sport Science – TEFAA DUTH).

But we’re not stopping there — we’re moving forward! A promising new collaboration is being established between TEFAA DUTH and AEK Betsson BC, with a clear perspective for expansion:

• Ongoing internship opportunities across all Club departments

• Implementation of joint research projects

• Planning of postgraduate-level lectures that bridge theory and real-world application

We are now, in practice, entering a new era of meaningful connection between Higher Education and the Sports Industry. TEFAA DUTH and AEK Betsson BC continue to lead the way in innovation and collaboration.

The Management and staff of our Club consistently support — and will continue to support — every initiative that contributes to the advancement of education, sports, and sports professionals. We are committed to building bridges with educational institutions and students, encouraging mutual exchange of knowledge and experience, as learning never stops — and we all must keep pace with progress and science.
