The second all-time scorer in the history of the sport (11,030 points) passed away suddenly at the age of 79, leaving behind an immeasurable legacy that will be remembered \u201cforever and ever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \u201cEmperor\u201d of Greek basketball wore the honored AEK jersey from 1979 to 1985, and his presence with the historic club was highlighted by winning the Greek Cup in 1981, in the final of which he scored 30 points against Iraklis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His 10,000th point was achieved in AEK\u2019s game against VAO at Ionikos Nea Filadelfeia Indoor Hall, and it was celebrated by both teammates and opponents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was one of the 29 founding members of S.P.A.K.A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vasilis Goumas also stood out wearing the jerseys of Panellinios and Ilisiakos. He began his career in Volos with the local Olympiacos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abroad, he played for Olympiacos Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Corinthians Johannesburg (South Africa), and Louren\u00e7o Marques (Mozambique).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was an international player with the Greek national team from 1966 to 1975 and was the top scorer of the Greek Championship four times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 1974, he played for the European Selection team, alongside Kre\u0161imir \u0106osi\u0107, Dino Meneghin, Sergei Belov, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
